DESCRIPTION:Come to Eden early and prepare for the day in a silent meditation.\nSpace will be energetically set 8-9 am\n \nA Solar Eclipse has many meanings across different spiritual traditions. Generally it is considered a time to be in connection with source, and in a yin energy. It is important to not exert yourself on the day of eclipse.\nIn the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, it is believed that the energy of positive and negative actions is multiplied during major astronomical events such as a solar eclipse.\nAccording to the late Lama Zopa Rinpoche with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, both lunar and solar eclipses are auspicious days for spiritual practice. He has said that the merit — which represents the positive karmic results of good intentions and actions — generated on lunar eclipses is multiplied by 700,000 and on solar eclipses by 100 million. Some of the recommended spiritual activities on these days include chanting mantras and sutras.\nWe will be holding space for personal meditation on the Eden Yoga Shala 8-9 am on the day of the eclipse before the days activities commence. You may perform mantra or japa silently, in your mind, or other forms of silent practice are welcome during this time.\n
