Aloha ‘Āina : Hawaii Living Labratory

You’re Invited to a Living Laboratory

Aloha and Welcome,

We warmly invite you to join us for a transformative gathering on Hawaii’s Big Island—where you can choose to stay for one week or extend your journey up to eight weeks, with increasing discounts for longer stays.

We are honored to be guests on Hawaiʻi Island, a place of profound cultural significance and natural beauty. This gathering takes place on ancestral Hawaiian lands, where we humbly seek to learn from local cultural practitioners about Aloha ʻĀina – the Hawaiian value of love and responsibility for the land. The island’s diverse ecosystems, from mountain to ocean, offer opportunities to deepen our understanding of local and global environmental stewardship.

Each week stands as its own complete experience, thoughtfully designed so you can join for the week that best aligns with your interests and schedule. Whether you’re drawn to indigenous wisdom, regenerative design, climate solutions, or personal growth, you’ll find a week that speaks to your journey. Many participants choose to stay for multiple weeks, allowing for deeper integration and greater savings through our extended-stay discounts.

As guests on these ancestral lands, we approach this gathering with deep respect and gratitude. Our program has been thoughtfully crafted in consultation with cultural advisors to ensure alignment with local values and practices. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn from respected Hawaiian cultural practitioners
  • Engage with global thought leaders in sustainability
  • Experience traditional ceremonies and healing practices
  • Develop practical skills in regenerative design
  • Connect with a community dedicated to positive change
  • Advance your professional goals while nurturing personal growth

We welcome families and understand the importance of intergenerational learning. Our facilities support both focused work and peaceful retreat, allowing you to maintain professional commitments while experiencing deep transformation.

This gathering is more than a retreat—it’s an invitation to be part of a growing movement of individuals committed to healing ourselves and our planet. Through small acts of kindness and larger collaborative efforts, we’re creating ripples of positive change that extend far beyond our time together.

We look forward to welcoming you to this sacred space where ancient wisdom meets future possibilities.

Me ke aloha pumehana (With warm aloha),

LOKAHI

“Work Life” Balance

Traditional Hawaiian culture didn’t separate “work” and “life” the way modern society does. Their approach was more holistic, integrating daily activities with spiritual practice, community involvement, and care for the ‘aina (land).

Imagine starting your workday after a sunrise ceremony, your mind clear and focused from morning meditation, your body energized by movement and tropical air. Our retreat space honors both your professional commitments and your spiritual journey, seamlessly weaving productivity with presence. We’ve designed specific times and spaces for remote work, equipped with reliable internet and comfortable workstations, while maintaining the profound benefits of being immersed in community and nature.
