RegenWorld’s Regenerative Dialogues: CACAO

Come join a ‘community dialogue’ at Casa Awanima, hosted by RegenWorld and lead by two inspired contributors to the cacao landscape here in Guatemala and in Costa Rica.  This interactive discussion will be lead by Mackenzie Barth, founder of Casa Awanima and the steward of Tuqtuquilal, a cacao cooperative working with 65 Q’eqchi’ families in Lanquín to produce ceremonial cacao and spice blends, rooted in a shared commitment to buenvivir—community flourishing through education, health, culture, and reciprocity. As well as Andrew Sealy, a yoga artist, connection catalyst and one of the stewards of the Quantum Cacao Farm in Costa Rico. He is also the co-founder of Cacoa DAO.

In this conversation, we’ll explore cacao’s role in today’s regenerative movement as a teacher of relationship and repair, and open a dialogue on what it means to be responsible stewards when sharing this medicine. Together, we will look at the realities of “economic development” in underserved regions and the need for holistic, non-extractive models that protect the well-being of the lands, the communities who cultivate cacao, and all beings.

This 2:00pm – 3;45pm dialogue will lead into another cacao themed event at Maltiox from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Learn more here:  https://member.daouniverse.club/all-events/cacao-celebration-convergence
