Overview of the Land
- Size: 156 hectares (~400 acres).
- Water access: Several natural springs and an abundance of fresh water.
- Biodiversity: Cacao, coffee, fruit trees, and a thriving jungle ecosystem.
Regenerating the Land
- Previously used for monoculture farming (coffee, GMOs, chemical treatments).
- Over the past 3 years, the land has been left to regenerate naturally.
- Now transitioning into permaculture and syntropic agroforestry.
The Connection with Local Mayan Communities
- Lake Atitlán is a sacred site for the Maya civilization.
- Local elders and spiritual leaders have been invited to bless and guide the project.
- Indigenous knowledge & practices will play a key role in land stewardship.
